Strategic Forum for Research in Education

This third and final Forum will take place on 17th and 18th March 2010 in Edinburgh.  It will complete SFRE’s agenda by focusing on the way in which knowledge:

• accumulates (substantively through reviews, theoretically in understanding and practically in libraries, repositories and databases),
• is mediated (by those in the media and many educational organisations who ‘translate’, comment upon, share, or otherwise interpret research), and
• achieves impact (in policy and practice).

There is a lot of excellent education research within the UK – but is it used to best effect?  If not, why not, and what can be done to improve the situation?
